 Psychodynamic   Psychotherapy

What is psychodynamic psychotherapy, and how can it help me?

Psychodynamic Psychotherapy is one of the oldest psychotherapies still practised today, and has evolved over the subsequent decades. This modality is beneficial for clients who are interested in hearing their early development reinterpreted in analytical terms.

It can be challenging, confrontational, and uncomfortable, so it is essential that your therapist builds trust before they begin the analytical work with you.

If you do not feel that your rapport with the therapist is strong enough or that they cannot keep you safe, we would urge you to request a change of practitioner immediately.

This applies to any therapy modality, really, as therapeutic alliance and a strong bond are a large part of what ensures successful client outcomes.
