Not only do we have a highly qualified English Language GCSE teacher at our disposal, we offer a nurturing, accepting and celebrating environment to enable learners to build positively towards their goals. As disability inclusive staff here at The Vale Practice, we know that support needs and functioning abilities can vary greatly between individuals and a one-size fits all approach is not realistic. We imbue learners with the ability to consider language critically, to examine it in different contexts, and to be able to use their understanding of language and different linguistic tools to understand, analyse and interpret unseen texts. We provide learners with the opportunity to use language for a variety of purposes, and to consider the history and qualia of particular language, as well as who benefits from particular linguistic changes. We create a safe, nurturing and curious environment where language can be experimental, exploratory, and even esoteric, encouraging creative and professional styles, and considering different purposes, audiences and forms.
